    Don't know if I'm in the right place, but I wonder where I could find a back case for an vintage classic IWC watch, cal. 852, watch is 34mm

    It's possibly too simplistic to presume all 34mm 852 casebacks will interchange...i say that so you don't waste monies...a pic of the case-middle may help in deciphering the model-ref and aid in swerving a goose chase.

    You’re definitely in the right place. Finding original casebacks for older IWC pieces can be tricky, especially for the cal. 852 models.

    I’d probably start by checking vintage watchmakers or parts dealers rather than general marketplaces, since fit and reference accuracy matter a lot on those older cases. Sometimes small measurement differences can completely change compatibility.

    You may also have some luck posting clear photos of the watch and the inside reference numbers here. A lot of experienced collectors on these forums are surprisingly good at identifying the exact part needed.
