    Hello members,

I was reading about the 3508 and its extra ordinary antimagnetic capabilities. I also understand it was discontinued pretty soon due to the complexities involved. I am wondering - if i were to ever get one, would servicing it be feasible? Since a lot of components were specific for this model including the balance spring, i wonder if IWC would have replacement parts to service if needed? Any advice? Thank you!

A few years ago I had my 3508 serviced in Schafhausen. I asked if all spares were original and they told me so.

I can't control that of course. But a strong magnet has no visible impact on the watch. So it could be true that everything is original.

I have an IW500401 big pilots watch. The second hand keeps stopping even when it is fully wound and I wear it daily. Does anyone else have this problem?
