I have a relatively new IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar (cal. 52616) and noticed the following:
- Dial up: +9 seconds over 24 hours, consistently in two separate tests.
- Dial vertical (facing left): Zero deviation over 48 hours, without rewinding.
- WOLF winder: Only a few seconds of deviation per day.
The tests were performed at different power reserve levels, with similar results.
My understanding is that positional variation is normal in mechanical watches, and accuracy during normal wear is more relevant than accuracy in a fixed position.
Would you consider these results normal for this IWC caliber?
