I've been a fan of IWC history and design for a long time and I'm close to
pull the trigger on an used Mark XVI.

So far the ebay seller has been very helpful in order to answer all my
questions and the watch appears to be in great condition (box and papers).

My call for help is due to the fact that although the serial matches the
caseback and the iwc card with the reference model IW325501, when i ran the
serial on the iwc website the serial was identified to the reference IW325504!
Is this common? Is it possible that the AD filled it wrong or any other
    plausible explanation?

the second doubt is regarding the movement. From the pictures I've got
everything looks fine and there's the reference C.30110 engraved but it also
has 23 jewels engraved (I only found other mark xvi models with 21 jewels) is
    this ok?

I thank you in advance for your help and hope to join the iwc family soon.

    best regards
