    Hi,

    I'm attaching picutres of a family heirloom.

    Any ideas or estimations as for the cost of restoration

    Hi Yair,

    1. the glass is chipped and needs to be replaced
    2. the winding crown is missing, most probably together with the winding stem
    3. miunte hnad needs to be retattached
    4. second hand is missing, hopefully the elongated pininon on the second wheel is not broken.
    5. dial is shows corrosion

    If you send it to the factory in schaffhausen, they will be able to do all that is needed to make it look like new. However it will be pretty costly, much more than you would have to pay if you seach for one in good condition on the market.

    If you find a gifted watchmaker, you can bring it to running condition for much less than a complete overhaul will cost you.
