    Hi Forum,

I recently fell in love with this beaut and just had to have it in my
collection, the looks, size, history and being from my birth year. But when i
got the watch in my hands i noticed something was different from the rest of
Ref: 3520; the second hand is white-tipped instead of red-tipped. When
examining the hands it looks like the white-tipped is the exact same finish as
the rest of the hands, and the white to black ratio is semilar to the ref with
red-tipson orther 3520's - which makes me think it is genuine.

Could this be a factory custom part/LE like i have seen with Sinn 556i having
red-tips instead of the usual white-tips?

    Or

An production/QC error where they forgot to put the red paint on one of the
    hands?

The first picture is my 3520 and the second picture is a normal 3520 - both
sold by the same pre-owned retailer (Zeitauktion)

    Hope you can help.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Indeed the Porsche Design ref 3520 is a nice watch, and in my opinion totally
underrated for the moment, they sell for crazy value for money.

I looked into your question and saw that all the ref 3520 I saw or had ( still
have one ) have the red second hand.

Reason why yours is white is pure speculation, could be a replacement during a
service, maybe a small batch made with the white hand, I really can,t tell.

I do not thnik it was a limited edition on purpose, never seen any evidence of
this, but nice to have it in your collection like that. Now you need one with
    the red second hand ;)
