    Dear All,

Just found this Yacht Club Chronograph, could someone help me to identify, whether it is an original timepiece, a replica or a "LEGO" watch? It seems to have a Boutique Edition case (rubber coated), a Volvo Ocean Race carbon dial, but the problem starts at the caseback.... the engraving says: Edition 2011 One ouf of 1000, and the serial number cannot be found in IWC register....

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for Your comments,

    Peter

with that dial, it should be a titanium case, and not rubber coated, so I have my doubtd about this one

What Tonny says is true anyway, but I don't see the rubber coating on the case? Seems gold colour (which is also wrong!)?

A lot of doubts here. As Tonny and you already mentioned, the dial does not fit to the rubber coated case.

The case back engraving is wrong on multiple levels, too. First, the typeface is wrong. Then, the Boutique edition (Ref. 390208) was limited to 250 and not 1000 pieces. "Edition 2011" is not engraved in the original version.

I would stay away from this watch.

Thank you Gentlemen for the answers, Yes it must be a "Lego" watch... The Case, movement and dial must be genuine parts, but the caseback is an aftermarket or replica one... Anyway it looks nice, but with this caseback it is a no-go.....

The rubber coating does not belong there. Maybe it was done afterwards. About the case number I can't say anything. Dial and bezel don't fit. Engraving of the original Volvo Ocean Racer (where the dial seems to be borrowed from) is different too. Better stay away!
