This watch was into the bank safe since 2007, but with pulled out crown. So, I decided to change the old battery to prevent a damage.

The old battery is still working, but after such a long time, the risk for a damaged battery is too high.

And a current photo, especially of the patina tritium dial, is always interesting.

This patina lume color is used nowadays for many modern IWC watches.

So, it MUST be very trendy and the owners of these modern watches dont need to wait so many years until it appears :-)

But this is the only true :-)

    Regards

    HEBE

    Great watch.

When I first bought one in about 2000, the dealer looked at me and asked "are you sure you want it? It uses a battery." I told him to his surprise that this didn't bother me for this model ;)

Love this one Hebe. My previous battery lasted for 5 years. :)

Very cool. Really very cool. As a Porsche/IWC die hard, I have no doubt eventually I will add one or more to the collection. A few more pics would be great?

    Cheers,

    Jarrod

Thanks so far for your interest and the other photo of a ref. 3319 in perfect shape.

BTW a hint to the bezels in 3 different colors: gray, darkgray coated (only used for some BUND models) and black coated (for BUND models and the rare civ. black ocean)

Just so some of our newer members know, Hebe's watch is a rare Porsche Design Ocean Bund, made for the German Navy. You can read about IWC's Bund models in an article I wrote for this forum in 2001 by clicking here.

Indeed very, very cool - love the design and look of that watch. What is the size of it - diameter?

Add more pictures please, now that it is out of the safe for the first time in 7 years!

This is one of my very favorite IWC watches! I always regretted not having the funds when one became available to me. Thanks for the great photos, Heiko!

Thank you again for your interest in this Quartz Watch !

    Some asked for more pictures.

Well, I think the comparison to a modern SL dial and a new bezel could be interesting ?!

And perhaps the ETA based Quartz movement ?!
