Hello,
I’m a fairly new collector but have always been passionate about watches, I’m looking into purchasing this one but am not 100% sure about authenticity 
could anyone tell whether it is in fact real or if I should forget about it

Run away.  At worst its a very bad fake. At best its a franken watch using a PW movement in a wristwatch.  I can't see the movement closely enought on my iPhone to comment.  In any case, there should not be a subdial on an IWC wristwatch at 9 o'clock.  There is an exception, but it's not this one.  

The only thing IWC about this is the movement. 
There is nothing authentic about any other piece. 
As Bill says RUN AWAY as fast as you can!

...and I trust / hope you are still running away!

It's such a shame that a fine IWC pocket watch dating from 1928 (so 90 years old timepiece) was destroyed to make this Monstrosity.

I'm sure this movement drove a beautiful pocket watch in its life before. A shame it's not doing anymore!
