    Dear Collectors

I want to show you a watch which is not very often seen. It's the Portugieser
Automatic Edition "Beijing International Film Festival 2015". As it has the
reference number IW500706, it is probably the first Portugieser Automatic
special edition with the updated caliber 52010. The panda dial (silver and
    black) is really magnificent:

Besides Panda matches with China, according to IWC, the watch reflects the
aesthetics of the classic black&white movies. It's light and shadow and
therefore the essence of cinema. Furthermore, the two symmetrical black
subdials remind people of a film projector. I think, that's really wonderful.

On the back, you can see the movement with the rotor, which shows the film
festival's hallmark engraved on a golden medal. And you can see the limitation
"One out of 50", which is really little for a watch in stainless steel and
makes this timepiece a real treasur to me!

The following year (for the "BJIFF 2016"), IWC launched a Portofino Hand-wound
Eight Days with the same colour code (IW510114), limited to 50 pieces as well.

That's an absolutely beautiful piece Philipp!

Thanks for sharing and for the insights into the design cues. I love these
    details.

You prompted me to search out the Portofino edition.

    Here's a picture for everyone.
