I have a 3706 (classic dial) on the nice Mk. I. (pyramid-link) bracelet, that
I bought new in 1998. I'll pass down my daughter the watch in April as a
graduate present. She has a thin wrist so I cannot shorten the bracelet enough
because of fixed links (10 on one, 6 on the other part, so altogether 16 fixed
    links).

(This is the result, after a long debate with myself about getting her and her
sister a birth-year watch - I thought about the 3707 but it proved to be too
long for their wrists… Sister finally got a non-IWC - also passed down from my
small collection - that she is happy with.)

So: I wonder if the Mk. II. bracelet (same design as that of the 3717
bracelet, with 3 flat rows and two non-rounded raised rows) has a better
option to be shortened, containing less fixed links? Private messages are
highly welcome and I'll get back here once I know the exact number of the
fixed links on the Mk. II. bracelet.

I do not want to sell or trade the Mk. I. bracelet because I plan to get
myself a pre-loved black-dial Spitfire version of the 3706 and wear it on the
    Mk. I. bracelet.)

Just posted this question to "IWC Schaffhausen Watch Owners" fb-group too.
Thank you in advance for all your kind help! Best regards,

    Robert

    Hi Robert

I gave my daughter a 3707 for her graduation some years ago.

I can't answer your question, if you have a Boutique nearby, they may be able
to check the workbook - if these models are still listed. There was an online
workbook, but sadly it has been removed. Perhaps someone here has an active
    link.

An email to IWC Concierge might be useful, they are very helpfull. They
assisted me in getting and ordering a bracelet for my 3782.01 Aquatimer.

Hi Mark and thanks for your reply! I know about the 3707 you gave to your
daughter and envy you that you could - my daughters would wear first of all
shorter watches (even if it is thicker) so this isn't the way for us. Of
course I know about official ways of getting the info but here it is certainly
worth a try as CF members might have the mentioned bracelet and in this case
it is only a one minute try to get the right info.

Best regards and wishes to you and your family in 2022!

As my project with the Mk.II. bracelet is advancing slowly I had to find out
other options too: maybe fitting the OEM IWC mesh bracelet would give a nice
combo and spare a bit of weight too. So two requests to all:

    1. If someone has a Fliegerchrono ref. 3706 on the mesh bracelet (best is OEM
but aftermarket too) I'd be very very grateful to see here a few photos (incl.
    wrist shots).

    2. If someone knows the minimal length of the shorter 20 mm wide IWC mesh
bracelet or knows where to look it up on-line that would also be a very useful
information for my project. (I don't yet want to ask the AD, if no useful info
will come of course I shall.)

Thanks again for taking your time, good health to all! Regards,

    Robert
