    Hi,

    I recently purchased a 3253 Mark XV.
It's on the bracelet with the raised middle links.

I've no problem with sizing the bracelet, however, I can't seem to find a way to remove it.

The Bergeon spring bar tool with the smallest 1,2mm fork is too big to fit in the hole to get to the spring bar.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

    Thank you!

You need to have these tools to adjust and remove the bracelet. Ask an IWC Boutique to get a set for you.

    Hi Mark,
Thank you! I have similar tools for adjusting the bracelet, which works fine.
However they don't work to remove the bracelet, at least I don't think so? Removing the bracelet involves grabbing the spring bars and pushing them inwards.

I was able to remove the bracelet with the thinnest fork(1.2mm) on the bergeon tool by turning the fork parallell to the spring bar...

To remove the bracelet on the Mark XV 3253, place the watch face down on a soft cloth and use a spring bar tool to compress the spring bars between the lugs. Carefully release each side and gently detach the bracelet to avoid scratches.

The IWC Mark XV brick bracelet does not have traditional spring bars.

There is a button that needs to be pressed while simultaneously pressing out the solid bar from the side, using the tools I posted here earlier. Sometimes grime builds up in the bracelet, making it difficult to release. Lots of time and patience is required.

Please see photos below. Not a Mark XV, but the principal is the same.

    Hi Mark,

    Thank you for the reply!

But that's not the bracelet I have on my Mark XV.

I Have the one with raised middle links. It looks like below and have a regular spring bar.

You can see the spring bar here, and that it's hard to get in there with spring bar tool..

It's hard to get a grip of with the smallest spring bar fork from Bergeon, which is 1.2mm, though.

    Thank you,

Actually, turning the 1.2mm fork on the bergeon tool parallel to the spring bar worked...
