It's been already some months ago that Fratello asked me to write a short
article, why I bought my Aquatimer.

as I forgot to share it with you guys, here we go:

A really great article Patrick! Thanks for sharing.
How does the bronze look on your arm? Especially when you've been swimming in
    salt water?

I like bronze cases because they are alive and change with time. But the
patina must not be extremely strong.

    Cheers,

    Sascha

    Thanks Sascha for your feedback.

if you mean if I habe patina on my wrist after a swim or while sweating, the
answer would be yes a bit.

sometimes I have some green patina on my wrist but never had it on my clothes
    etc.

the AT bronze is way different then the one from Panerai or others. The case
is getting darker but will not get the green patina others evolve over time.
    hope that helps?

Thanks Patrick, that's exactly the information I was looking for. I know
bronze cases from other brands, but with one exception I was always
disappointed because the patina developed uncontrollably to the point of
verdigris. At some point it just looked shabby.

It's a good thing that IWC apparently uses an alloy here that doesn't form
such an enormous patina. The fact that there is always some discolouration on
the wrist is not a bad thing with bronze watches in my view.
Enjoy the watch and maybe we'll see each other at a collectors' meeting. Then
I could see the watch live.

    Cheers,

    Sascha

in case you suggest if I habe patina on my wrist after a swim or whilst
sweating, the. solution could be sure a bit. from time to time I even have a
few inexperienced patina on my wrist however in no way had it on my

    Hi Jeff,

appreciate you feedback! I experienced to have a bit of patina on my wrist
when sweating a lot but nothing major! Never had anything on my clothes
    though.

I like bronze instances due to the fact they're alive and extrade with time.
But the patina need to now no longer be extraordinarily strong. I know bronze
instances from different brands, however with one exception I changed into
always dissatisfied due to the fact the patina advanced uncontrollably to
    the
    factor of verdigris.
