Yes it is :)
or press F5 key.
Awesome thanks for the reply Tonny :)
It's good to know IWC can / will still work on these.

Good morning,
I've been thinking more and more about picking up an Ocean 2000.
Looking at the 3rd or 4th gen with the upgraded bracelet.
With so many examples looking pretty rough, I'm curious what's including with the complete service from IWC.
Does IWC do anything to the dial such as re-lume on a complete service, or is it just the movement and seals?
Finally, if a really good first or second gen pops up, does IWC still offer the fabric strap for all models? I really don't feel I'd wear the watch on a bracelet.
Thanks!
Awesome thanks :)
Chlorine would be more for vacations, we've personally had "saltwater" pools personally.
So no worries 😃
Hey everyone,
I'm just curious if the Velcro strap for the GST Aquatimer 2000 is good for swimming in both clorine and saltwater?
I have the rubber strap and titanium bracelet, but prefer the watch on Velcro.
If so just wash after use with fresh water like I would the watch?
I'm sure it's fine since the bund model of the Ocean 2000 come with it.
Thanks!
When it rains it pours... my wife's Rolex Yacht-Master 16622 made a little pop when winding it from stopped.
Seconds hand went back 3-4 seconds and is now stuck.
Guess I'll take that and my GST Aquatimer 2000 (runs about 30 seconds off when first started then stays at 0 after about an hour) to get serviced at the local watchmaker and send the perpetual off to IWC.
Also, just got my Royal Oak Offshore Montoya back from repair... the crown failed (aparantly common)... guess most of my watches should be good for a while now.
I guess it goes with the territory of owning slightly older watches :)
So...
At around 11:35 pm the minute hand went back to around 11:29 pm and just stopped...
I have never seen that before...
Any ideas?
Gotcha makes sense!
Went ahead and set the watch to 7:30 PM, now it's "8:25 PM", still synced with the other watch and running +6 a day.
I stopped the movement yesterday and set it for 11:40 PM, put it on a timegrapher and set another watch I had in my office the same...
Well it's "12:12" in the morning now, no fireworks and the BP perpetual is still keeping second to second with the other watch.
Timegrapher has shown +4 to +5 seconds the entire time.
I guess I'll keep the running until we go out later and maybe wear the watch out and keep on eye on it until 11:40 PM real time and see if it's still on track.
Super weird... local watchmaker won't touch it...
Just wish I knew something was def. wrong before sending off to IWC.
Thanks Mark!
It really seems like what's going on...
I have the watch stopped this morning and tomorrow I'm going to set it to around 11:30 PM and watch it during the day to see if it slows down and when.
Just worried that something is messed up with the perpetual module.
I have a good contact at IWC I've alreayd reached out to as well.

Good morning,
I just noticed my Big Pilot Top Gun Perpetual Calendar IW502902 is around 30 minutes slow every morning.
On the timegrapher it reads +5 seconds per day.
I'm wondering if something is happening as the day changes to make something "stick".
Has anyone seen this before or have any idea of what's going on?
Thanks,
-Peter
I've tested it a few more times and still running very well.
Also finally got it on a rubber strap :)
Excuse the mess, renovating my office...
Weirdest thing...
Was kind of keeping track of the watch versus my phone and it seemed within a second all day.
I tossed it on my timegrapher and it's now reading + 1 to 2 seconds a day.
Do you think it just hasn't run in a while, hence yesterday's really off readings? Now after running it's more in spec? 🤔
Maybe also magnetized in shipping???
Thanks will do :)
Still trying to get some straps from IWC, kind of like pulling teeth...
Seems like we have the same Big Pilot perpetual :)
Sold by a former AD who sold the watch to a client new in 2003.
Guessing it was never serviced... I have a pretty good watchmaker friend... guess I'll let him take a look at it :)
Was just dirt, which is kind of what I thought.
Nothing some warm water with dishsoap and an old soft toothbrush couldn't fix up.
It is running between 20-30 seconds slow a day. Is that normal for this old of a movement, or should a watchmaker get it in spec a little better?
I'm not too crazy about it, since it'll only be worn for a few hours and then run dead.
Thanks Bob :)
The pictures from the dealer weren't the best...
But here is what I'm talking about. See the white areas around the numbers and markers?
Naturally, UPS seems to be delayed and it doesn't look to be coming today 😞
Good afternoon everyone,
I have an Aquatimer GST 20000 IW353601 coming tomorrow.
From the seller's pictures, the bezel looks a little tired. Mainly looks like white / grey discoloration around the numbers.
I contacted IWC and was told they don't sell replacement bezels...
So I was wondering if there is a way to clean the bezel, or if this fading / discoloration is permanent?
Also, with an included tool to remove the bezel, it's too bad a new one just can't be ordered.
I'm really excited about this watch, besides AP, IWC has always been one of my favorites. I've had a good number of IWCs and feel this one will end up in my permanent rotation along with my other IWC I'm never selling, a Big Pilot Top Gun Perp (Such a perfect watch...) :)
Love that watch...
Would be the one non-complicated BP I'd take over the heritage.
Looked, but couldn't justify the price they trade for now :(
Really happy I didn't go with a 5002 in steel after wearing a titanium model,
feel it would be way too top heavy.
It's been years since I've last worn a 5002 and remember the weight forcing
the crown into your wrist much more so than the titanium model.
Just noticed the title says 5004... lol
Exactly, I made myself "fine" with the stock calfskin strap, but after getting
the buffalo in I'm really glad I was able to find one.
Not only do I really prefer the texture, but with the Heritage BP being a
tribute to the original B-Uhr, I think it's nice to also have the original Big
Pilots strap on it as well.
I also now can't get out of my head the red hue that the stock strap had
versus the buffalo as well.
Also just picked up an Aquatimer 2000 with the yellow bezel. I have to say
it's one of the most interesting dial bezel combos I've seen with the double
sapphire crystals. Also, picked up for a great price.
Strap came in, looks about right for the 5002 Buffalo leather strap.
Definately a lot more texture than the calfskin strap the watch came with.
Hopefully not :(
I will be happy if it's buffalo leather and more textured than the calfskin
strap my Heritage came with...
Will be here tomorrow, will update :)
Thanks Mark!
I actually found one listed by an athourized dealer and ordered it.
The price was a bit above retail, but I'm fine with that as long as it's the
correct strap.
The problem is that I believe the strap is long discontinued.
Let's hope the correct strap shows up, the reference number does match, so
fingers crossed.
BTW : Going on my heritage.
Thanks,
-Peter
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows of somebody open to selling an original Big
Pilot 5002 buffalo leather strap.
Or someplace online with one.
Thanks,
-Peter
